Lesson
East opens 1C and South overcalls with 1H. North's 1S bid is not forcing but it should not be bid on hot air. South is very comfortable in bidding again. His choice of 1NT is mildly speculative because he does not have a true club stopper. But it is reasonable. North raises to 2NT and South goes on to game. He has a maximum and there is always the possibility that North will have something in clubs or perhaps East has only four of them. West leads the queen of clubs and continues the suit. East plays four rounds of clubs, which sets up a club for him. Question: Should South be content with nine tricks?
